In around 2005 I had a visit to the Brantly Factory in Vernon Texas. I meet the owner James Kimura and got a tour of the assembly floor with about a dozen BrantlyB2Bs in various stages of assembly and paint schemes. I was not permitted to take photos inside of the building but did explore other building in the area on airport property. I did discover a building with numerous Brantly and tooling. The first photo is of what I think was Brantly B2 serial number 01 beside an old wagon.... The second photo is of some 305's that were part of the army contract to create targets of Russian helicopters to be shot down. The interesting part of the second photo is on the left side is a stand with a Brantly transmission with a 2 bladed rotor head. Wonder if it ever flew....
James also suggested I visit H. Jenkins about 2 hours away. I did and he kept me entertained with all of his stories and his collection of Brantlys he was working.
