Rotating Beacon Motor

Does anyone have an extra Grimes dc motor that turns the lamps in the rotating beacon? It has a part number of 3A1234 and Patent number 2,479,455 on it. I can't find a replacement for it anywhere yet and would rather not have to replace the whole unit with a strobe.

Thanks

They don't have, or can't sell, the individual parts of the beacon, but have some complete beacon units out on some airplanes they could pull. For that cost I might as well replace with the factory's new strobe.

Yea, thanks anyhow. They called back and said they didn't have any rotating beacons at all. I also tried Harold Jenkins to see if he had the motor and a couple other places, all to no avail. I can find most all the other parts to the beacon (which I don't need), just not the little motor that makes it rotate!

I was in the same situation and ended up replacing the unit with a flasher. Total cost about $120 with the adapter. The new unit is quiet and looks good, so I am satisfied.
