Post by 9121u »

HI guys I watch a clip on u tube it wasn't a brantly.. but a Robinson r 44 doing almost no forward air speed auto to the ground it was pretty impressive to watch... shows inside and all angle view's. I tried to post on here but i don't no how this is going to work.. maybe RON you could do it... to show what a helicopter can really do.. hhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJGvm1IOgwk&fea ... a_playerat

A no flare auto-rotation-pretty amazing what rotor inertia can do for you. He landed right in that field and cushioned it with the collective without risk of digging in his aft skids or tail boom! Thanks for posting that Tom. By the way do you still have your Brantly? When did you fly it last?

HI again that was not the u tube video.the wrong one came up.. its still a good one tho.. but the one that amazes me does not want to load right .so go on ROBINSON helicopter group. com its posted on there.a must see.....and yes I still have my brantly wouldn't get rid for nothing..i do not fly it much but i am going to fly a lot this fall hopefully..I have been messing with brantlys for 10 or 12 years now.. just stay with yours it just takes time to get every thing checked out.so be patient with it....it-will pay of in the end.. and you will enjoy every hour of flying it...

That's a pretty cool video. Not something I would try though.

Definitely would have to have the machine and the skill to pull this off. Even then if you kept messing around doing this you'd probably be off one time.... and that's all it would take. Great video but just too risky for the average helo pilot and machine it would seem to me. Thanks for posting it Tom.
