"We will aggressively work to keep jobs in the United States...."
This look very familiar. I hope those 7500 employees don't get let go if this deal go through, but if history is repeated then that will be sad.

Re: Hawker Beechcraft
That last article really makes things scary for Hawker Beechcraft. The same process was made at Brantly. Cheng and his crew came and took a tour and made big promises. We all know what took place from there. I envision that the next project will be a "Drone" Beechcraft. They would be in way over their heads with 7000 employees especially how they like to micro manage each employee.

They expect to reach producing 80 B-2Bs annually?

Re: Hawker Beechcraft
The question that I feel begs asking is "Where is the money coming from?". The $1.8 billion being offered is a quantum leap from the $7 million paid for Superior Air Parts. Who is Cheng Shenzong working for? Cheng simply does not have that kind of capital himself. What are the true intentions of the person or persons holding the purse strings?

Welcome back BirdDog. Yes, all good questions for sure. We *really* need to get something going here in the states. Some parts availability are at the critical level. Some aircraft are already starting to sit due to lack of parts.
Re: Hawker Beechcraft
Well looks like the deal was all smoke and mirrors and now is completely dead in the water. Check this link out http://www.flyingmag.com/blogs/fly-wire ... ad-arrival Lots of talk but not much backing. Sound familiar?

Here's another article relating to this.

The most disturbing paragraph to me was this one:

The most disturbing paragraph to me was this one:
However, poor demand for B2B helicopters produced by Haili using Brantly's technology in China had forced the Qingdao-based company to suspend production as of 2012, the newspaper said.
