In the May 4th, 2012 issue of AOPA's ePilot, there is a story about a fatal B2B crash. You can find the story in the Over and Under heading.

At least this is not a new accident. That was from last year, and was discussed here on the forum. Interesting read though.

This is precisely the reason I have all but quit instructing in other peoples aircraft. In over 30 years almost every single time I've done it they have done anything they wanted after solo. From hauling passengers to flying solo any time they wanted. If you OWN the aircraft your attitude is LIKELY to be far different from someone who is only renting an aircraft and has no direct control of it. Just the way it is and works out-time, and time, and time again. I'm not saying it's impossible but it's pretty hard. I can relate to it. Many, many years ago I bought my first helicopter before I got my rotorcraft rating. I sure did WANT to fly it but I never did without proper instruction and supervision. But it is a HUGE temptation after you solo. Better to not put yourself in that position unless you are 100% sure you have sufficient self discipline to follow the regs and your instructor.
