Now that the rains have finally quit we were out checking out the flood damage. There are still hundreds of people with no phone, tv or roads to get out or even know what is going on in the world. Many of the airports lost huge amounts of aircraft,all fixed wing as far as i know, the were taxiing them up the highways just to get them to higher ground. Helicopters were & still are the only way to see a lot of the damage & get supplies to many of the people. I'll post pictures in as few days.
Was anyone flying when 9/11 happened and do you remember what happened right after. Be safe & enjoy, The leaves will be turning soon, probably the nicest time to fly.

Not copter related but the devastation from flooding in NC and NE PA was horrendous and received scant attention.

Upper Lycoming Cnty, above the Wmspt Airport in Montoursville is beautiful with many famous trout streams , vast hunting camps and 3-4 watersheds feeding down to the Susquehanna.

A stretch from Montoursville up 87, up the Loyalsock Valley to Hillsgrove, just 25 miles or so, saw 57 homes/cabins GONE, totally gone. Cabins that had been through prior floods and passed down through generations for 120 yrs.

Area is recovering but rough, rough times.
