fixnfly- interested if you care to share, what kind of a budget do you think that will take for parts?
How much hrs of labor? I know the safety thresholds have to be higher for aviation,
but why is it multiples of a auto or truck engine?
Anyone, is the Lycoming Engine still made in Williamsport PA ? I rember going through the airport there (small one)
and seeing displays. Lots of aviation heritage in that valley, Loch Haven, home of Piper, is 20 miles west of Williamsport.
A member here told me of a Schweitzer owner who keeps his ship at the Wmspt airport. Next trip out there in Jan, I will
try and find him.

Lycoming is still in Williamsport pa. Due to our insurance we don't do complete o/h's in our shop, We use Columbia Aircraft for our rebuilds , they are in Bloomsburg Pa. and we have had exellent success with there work. The average price on there engines is 15-18,000 depending on things like crank condition etc. There wook is great & they stand behind it. Happy holidays, Bill
