Looks like my battery is not holding a charge too well and needs to be replaced. Any suggestions regarding brand/type of battery?
Thanks,
Steve

I am not sure, but if you find one that works better than any other let me know. It looks like I need one also or my system is not charging. The othe day on a x-c I didnt notice that my amp gauge was not indicating a charge until after I had landed to get fuel and was unable to get the bird started. I had to get a boost, but a word to remember if the gauge shows no amperage maybe you shouldnt stop the engine unless you have means of getting a boost.

Same thing happened to me last Sunday. Flying in a non-rated guy's B2B I also noted no amp charge. I mistakenly shut down at a remote field to talk with some other pilots. When we went to leave, dead battery. Luckily, another Brantly owner, and member of this forum, was there and could give us a jump.
I initially thought generator problems, but a test of the battery showed it is bad. The owner is getting another, but I don't know what he ordered.
After my generator went bad last year and stranded me, I now carry with me a portable jumper battery when I go on a XC. You can get them at Wal-Mart for $40. It has already saved me once.
I think I have a GIL battery, but haven't looked lately at what the number is. Sorry.

I ended up getting a sealed Concorde battery. I have had it almost 10 months and have not had a single problem with it. I ordered it from Chief Aircraft:
