Well we knew it was going to happen. Factory is being packed up and shipped to China. Hopefully when they get it going good they'll still ship parts back to the USA to keep the Brantly ships going here. But anyway you slice it this is a downer.

I was told by Vernon at the factory last week, that they have stocked up on parts and have extra blades in stock. They are working with the FAA to get the parts aproved to be shipped here from China. He said they are moving forward with the the Superior engines design and build.
He also said that production was up in running in China?

Who knows maybe in the long run this might improve parts availbilty.

Yes we can hope for that. I sure hope it plays out that way. Most likely Superior will be packed up and shipped to China as well don't you think? Getting a reasonably priced engine would be key. Wouldn't it be something if they started cranking out B2B's for 75k brand spanking new?! They'd take the market by storm. You know brake rotors from China are now pretty good quality and only cost about $25 dollars(cheaper than turning your oem ones) so the 75k price might not be as outlandish as it seems.

In the long run though losing our manufacturing base is bad for the USA. Even Cessna is going to build the Skycatcher in China!
