Another Brantly owner and I had a nice flight today. Went from Pennsylvania into Ohio checking out some grass strips. When our intercom battery died and we were unable to talk with each other, we landed at a friend's house for another 9-volt battery. Kind of small yard to land in, but surrounded by a 600-acre farm to support their 30,000 chickens! Sunny, 60 degrees, 35+ miles visibility and 6-10MPH winds.

Nice to see spring has arrived up there. I know it has been somewhat late in coming to your part of the country this year. Just curious, what is your typical fuel burn rate on cross country trips? Do you typically lean your mixture?

Yea, it was a l-o-n-g cold winter up here. As of yet I do not lean the mixture. With two of us on board, cruising at about 85mph, we were burning about 15gph, but we had somewhat of a headwind. By myself I can quite often do 85 at 12-13gph and 95 at about 15gph.
