Tail rotor mod

Post by Nick »

Has anyone any experience with the tail rotor mod that gives more pitch?
I take it also takes more power?

The factory sell a tail rotor kit that apparently allows more tail rotor pitch travel.
More tail rotor pitch = more tail rotor authority (only if power is available.)

I'm not familiar with any factory kit, but I once flew a B-2B in Missouri that had 305 tail rotor blades. The owner did the installation via a Form 337.

Tom,
I bet 305 blades made the B2B effectively immune to LTE!

Wonder if a kit to simply increase the blade pitch angles does exist. Sunhelo mark significantly found theirs out of spec on the low side.

I've posted some pictures here of how our current T/R is set up.
