B2B WANTED
Hi, I'm looking to purchase a low to mid time Brantly B2B. If you have one to sell (or know of one for sale) please email me at speedkeys@yahoo.com Thanks, Marc.
I saw this one on Ebay. I don't know about your budet, but it's a bit pricey for most Brantly operators.

Hi Jason - Question
Hi Jason,
It's been awhile, hope all is well. I'm down here in Florida and looked at/flew a Brantly that is for sale. I think you will remember how smooth mine was all the way to redline on the airspeed. This one today was smooth in hover and up to 80 MPH; however, from 80 to 90 (didn't go to 100 - too scary) it started a rather violent shake fore and aft on the stick and developed a vertical hop. The ship is flying with 404 blades and had the 106 and 110 SBs done. Any idea on what is causing the shake (yea, I know you can't diagnose over the internet? ) I am used to flying dead smooth all the way to 100 MPH and this one scared me a little and you know I don't get scared or excited easily:) The engine is a fresh TOH but is a few hundred over on the bottom overhaul. Do you know anything about anyone running the engine past TBO? Also, how did your ships in Texas perform? I had no problem in Indiana with full fuel, 80 degree weather, and 380 lbs of humans in the ship. Today it was 77 degrees, 50% humidity, and 400 lbs of us in the helicopter and it was pulling full redline on the MP just to hover and would barely keep RPM. I did some hovering left pedal turns and when turning downwind I actually had to milk the collective to maintain the hover. Not used to that as well. Any comments?
Todd

If your wings aren't turning, they are broken and you had better get them fixed....
Thanks Jason
Thanks Jason - I'm aware of the ship 4sale on Ebay and am still looking for the reason you cited. I appreciate your consideration re: hijacking - thanks! The timed out engine was the reason I didn't follow up on the FLA ship for sale. It looked great in the pics though. Thanks again for the lead. Longeze N160EZ
Longeze,
No problems man. I sent Todd an email and I hope it helps him in finding the anwers he's looking for.
What I meant about being pricey, is the asking price. With that registration number, that bird has to have a serial number in the 70's and was originally a B2 built in 1960. The add doesn't list any component times either, although I'm sure you could get them. Also considering the 40 hours instruction at a cost of $35 an hour for the instructor is only $1400, not really a bargain.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to drive down the value of these magnificiant machines. You just have to really research these birds to see what you're getting for the money.

Marc,
Jason knows just about everything on these. He helped me put a clutch in mine in less than 6 hours of actual working time. Didn't mean to hijack your thread. I just think it is important to know that these machines should be dead smooth to 100MPH and if they are not then something is not right with them. If the owner is hesitant to run it to speed than there is something to be suspect about. I guess I sold mine too cheap @ $50,000 2 years ago.
