My generator gave out and I am looking for any advice on what to get as a replacement (B2-B), including part numbers.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve Try This First
Hey guy:
Mine quit last year and I disassembled it to see anything obvious.
The two little spring-loaded flappers that push the brushes against the armature or commutator, or whatever you call it, were gummed up with crud and the tracks that the brushes slide in were in the same shape.
I reshaped the face of the brushes and cleaned all the sliding and flipper parts. I also put a thick coat of high temp RTV Silicone on all of dried & cracked field wires that I saw, and wow! It works like a champ now!
Also, I just finished a top overhaul and built new baffles. I ordered "IVO-360-A1A" installation drawings from Lycoming. They show a 3/4" (approx)cooling duct blowing into the round shroud on the bottom of the generator. I incorporated that into my new baffle so cooling fan air circulates all through the generator.
You might want to go to http://www.aerotechlou.com/trouble.htm
if that's still a valid link to get instructions on doing a "FULL FIELD TEST" after you try the above steps.

I decided to go with a rebuilt generator. I also needed a new starter. The Sky Tec quit just after the warranty expired
I went with a B&G Specialty starter. A bit pricy, but it is the kind Robinson puts in all of their helicopters.
