This is my last day at Baylor Hospital in Dallas where I have been doing my rehab. I will be going home tomorrow and should start to be more active on the Internet and this Web site.
Thanks to everyone, especially Ron Spiker, for their prayers and concern during my recovery. I will continue therapy part time at home, but I have made remarkable progress. I have full use of my hands, arms, upper body, and brain, but not my legs so I will have to stay in a wheelchair. With a spinal cord injury, there may be some regeneration, but it will take a year or so to see the level of function that I regain.

Not that I am a very religious but praise the lord to see you functioning again. Of course none of us know all you have been through. I hope your progress continues and being home I am sure will be a wonderful change of environment.

Update:
Thought I'd let everyone know how I am doing. I have been back to work now for about five months, working from home as I was before the accident. I have regained a lot of strength and stamina, but still have no movement or sensation below the level of my spinal cord injury (mid chest). I have full use of my arms, hands, and brain, but the wheelchair will most likely be permanent.
The NTSB has issued the factual report for the accident, but no probable cause yet:

Steve,
Great to hear from you! I'm so glad you are coming along good.
That factual report is pretty interesting. Overweight, out of CG, and taking off downwind with 8-11 kts wind, if I read that correctly.
Take care.

Steve,
Thanks very much for your update and the continued support of this forum. Also if anyone has ever flown every flight in perfect weight and balance in ideal conditions I've yet to see them in 30 plus years.
Your recovery has been amazing and technology is progressing in exponential fashion these days. There is certainly hope for even more progress to be made in your recovery!
