Gary does have one flyable, i looked at it a couple of months ago and it appears to be a nice ship. He told me he's asking 120,000 for it and that it has a lot of mods to the mast etc. He also had one in his hanger that was pretty much complete but dissassembled, i didn't ask a price. Gary is on this site under parts, hope this helps. Bill

There are a couple of people in the UK epressing interest in looking at gettting a 305 flying so we'll contact Gary.

Anyone with experience in flying the 305 - would like to hear your stories.

I grew up around the Brantly. Saw the 305 fly a lot. I even remember the fuselage of the 305 designed to have a turbine engine. I have also flown the 305. Looked in an old logbook 7/1985 and 12/1985. The helicopter had shorter blades than the original design (military contract required certain length of blade). It was for the UAV program. Built 4 new 305's. Did the testing in a 305 that had an open canopy. The pilot could overide the person flying it from a control panel. I have some old video from those days and when we were at Whitesands Missle Range for the flying of the new 305's. Two crashed and who knows where the other two went.

I was able to record the VCR over to DVD. It is about 15 mins worth of Brantly News Story from 1986 when the 305 was used as a Drone for the military. I will try and get it here soon. I left message for Ron so I could mail him a copy. If I do that then maybe he can pick some things to post on here.

Ok. I haven't spoken to him before so hopefully will hear back soon. I also have a short video clip of the Brantly B1, counter rotating rotor system. Was thinking of getting it on YouTube and on here. Im not good with the computer stuff so will take me a little bit.
