Has anyone with experience with same especially a form 337 (Faa)

Graphic Engine Monitor
Hey Richard:
Just bought & installed a INsight GEM-602 Graphic engine monitor off of Ebay. Field approval by my AI Via FAA Form 337 was no problem at all even though the STC didn't apply to Brantlys.
Cost for the instrument was $150.00. Counting probes/plug/& harness....
it cost me $490.00.
I did it while I had the engine out fixing the sticky exhaust valve that I told you about.
Havn't flown it yet... still a couple of weeks away..
I'll let you know how it works. I did test the Instrument and probes with 12 volts and a butane torch... It works great.

stc
well when i get my mechanic and 18y together i will get that stc in motion good to know that it went well with the faa
i think its a great idea to set the mixture with exhaust gas temp.
these sticky valves that we have been dealing with are associated with deposits on the valve guides . proper engine temps should go a long way to remedy this expensive situation.
probly should install quick disconnects when reinstalling engine .has your engine been reinstalled

Quick Disconnect
Yes:
I intalled an "AMP" brand 25 pin connector at the firewall. The engine has not yet been put back in, I'm waiting on a new Champion Ignition Harness to come back from Champion Aerospace with custom length leads.
Their tech rep said it was shipped Wed and will be here today.
Maybe I'll git the eng in Sat or Sun.
