I certainly wish that Brantly went into production again, but I sadly perceive that future into the realm of ferry tales.
The next best thing is to keep the fleet healthy and busy, but after asking, reading and perusing, I have been left with 2 significant questions lingering and threatening the viability of the existence of the Brantly: the Formsprag clutch and (ugh...) the rotor-blades.
What is your knowledge or opinion?
Will either be refurbish(able) and or produced in the future?
Will they disappear and force the slow, painful and sad demise of the fleet?
How long will it take for the Brantly to die assuming a usage of 200 hr/year per aircraft?
What do you think?

I believe the brantly will be around a long time the ones that are still flying just take care of the greasing maintenance and watch the blup start ups stressing out the blades every thing will last... far as serviceable and new parts go Gary has told me he has enough to keep them flying for long time plus there is some other sitting parts around .to having a brantly is just like other helicopters like 269 and hiller there hard to get parts for to just gatta look around.. some one one of these days will make faa /pma parts soon or later for these fine helicopters there too good of helicopters to let go.....so take care of them .........keep having safe fun

The TC & PC were surendered, That opens the door for owner manufactured parts, Reverse engineer to your hearts content.
Your name becomes the Manufacture & the Quality assurance is in the paper work submitted on that 337 form.
(That's when you cant find the parts)

Re: Brantly Survey: What's the future of the fleet?
HI Hillburg... does that pertain to time life parts or just condition parts and how would you know this ...have heard of it before tho
Re: Brantly Survey: What's the future of the fleet?
An orphin aircraft that have no factory or supplier support ie: out of business,, The FAA Authorizes the owner to build new parts for their aircraft, You can take a timed life part & have a shop reverse engineer/produce with the proper process/material a part & you present that part with the data & 337 form for approval.
Your name & sn will be affixed/marked on the part & a history card issued. Some where I have the FAA document on the process.
When the parts dry up you need to do something, PMA? do we have a fleet large enough for the hassle????
