Busy Year

Post by Ron Spiker »

It's been quite slow on the forum for a while. It would be nice to hear more stories, questions, or discussions on here.

I had a quite busy year flying this year, especially when I have a different day job. I ended up with 283 hours flying and had 6 students/pilots pass their checkrides. Hopefully the equipment will continue working well and I can keep up the pace in 2014.

That was a very good year Ron! I've managed 155 hours in my Brantly in a little over a year since I got it flying. Had a couple of very active students and some rides but most of the time just flying because well I've always loved flying helicopters! Also got my special FAR endorsement for the Robinson and had lots of fun doing that. The calendar timed blades and insurance just make the Robinson nearly impossible to work for anyone who is not very well off. It is a very fun to fly machine as well though.

Having plenty of power in the Brantly in the winter has been nice but I sure like warm weather flying better!
