Brantly Milestone

Post by Ron Spiker »

I passed 900 hours in Brantlys this past weekend. Most of that is doing flight instruction. What a great training machine, but it is a bit weak when its loaded up and the density altitude starts going up. Hopefully when the factory starts producing them again we'll also get an engine with some more horsepower. I'm shooting to pass 1,000 Brantly hours this year. So far it is looking very much within reach.

Check out our web site for more information on our flight instruction and other helicopter services, especially for Brantly.

Great web site for your business, I really like the paint on the Enstrom. If the powers that be in China could put a turbo engine like the Enstrom's in the B2B that 225 H.P. might just solve any power issues.
Good luck on you 1000 hrs.

I think that in the past they did try a turbo on the engine and they had overheating problems, with not enough room for air to keep it cool enough.
Just adding 20-30 HP, even without a turbo, would make a huge difference in performance.

Thanks on the web site. Will be adding more photos of the latest purchase soon.

This evening I now passed 1000 hours in the Brantly. As fate would have it, it was while training with my son. Perfect weekend for flying.

1000 hours in any specific helicopter is a lot of time. In a Brantly it's truly impressive. Can't be over a few people in the thousand hour Brantly club. Congratulations on that milestone!
