Flying Time at Chickamauga Laka

Post by HELISCAN »

Check out these pics taken last Tuesday over Chickamauga Lake in Chattanooga.
Perfect day and lots of boaters as well.

Also have a room I may not use for Homers.

Dave,

Who took those pictures? What type aircraft was they in? Were they that close or did they have a big lens? Those are crystal clear and the shutter speed must have been really fast. The T/R blades only traveled 3" while the shuter was open. At 2900 RPM and a diameter of 41", that's 37,202 ft/min. To travel 3" it would take only 4 ten-thousandths of a second! I'm not a photographer, but what kind of camera has a 1/0.00004 S shutter speed?

Hey Bryon;

Good to hear from you. The photographer used several lens during the shoot, really would have to ask. He was riding with a friend of mine in an old Cub fitted with floats. We were never closer than 100 feet, most of the time about 150'.

He took about 200 shots and cleaned it up to about 70. I'll send you a CD if you want once I get it. N2101U is still for sale, although I would like someone within 100 miles so we can partner. Let's see,,,,,,,,,,,,,, you are about 80 miles,,,,,,,,,,,,maybe it's time you said yes!

Send my best to your FAM!

Thanks Dave for your reply. Those shots are soo-purb! Nah, I'm sorry but not interested in aircraft ownership again. I need to "de-complicate" my life and "shrink" my universe, instead of expanding and complicating things.
I need a smaller yard to mow, less hobbies, and no shop and rental property. Heck! I might even like to live in an apartment or seniors duplex with a 1 stall garage.
Glad Patsy is doing better and making strides to a 100% recovery.
