I must say that there appears to be a reason for the high hull insurance rates. After looking for a B-2B these last few weeks I'm not seeing very many "clean" (no-damage history) B-2Bs on the market.
Additionally, if you pull up the registrations for the currently owned and run them through the NTSB & FAA data bases you will find many of them also have a damage history.
A few I found out there for sale have had more than two accidents on the airframe. Yes, they have been repaired but one must still be concerned about an airframe that has been rolled up a couple of times.
Just one person's observation.

Well there's not a ton of these things out there. Especially late model ones. Couple that with most of the time let's face it they're flown by relatively low time pilots. R22's have had a lot of accidents in that type of environment as well
BUT I still think you got a point there edspilot. Comes back to if it was rebuilt correctly or not. Also the component times often I would say might NOT be accurately portrayed. Keep us posted here or pm me individually about how your search goes.
We had a brand new R44 come thru today-the guy said he'd just bought it $450,000-it was loaded even had a/c.
