fuel tanks

The aux fuel cell is accessed where the upper fuel transmitter is attached. The main fuel cell bladder is accessed through an access panel underneath the engine (yes, the engine has to come out). There are hangers that hold the main and aux fuel bladders in place and become quite the little monsters when trying to install the new fuel cells. A couple of other little monsters is getting the main fuel cell connected to the inlet block and where the aux fuel cell attaches to the vent tube at the rear of the bladder. The key to the installation is getting the bladders laid out without any kinks so that they will hold 31 gallons. Also, be certain to pressure test the system after installation. I've had a hard time getting the vent tube to seal because you need some really long arms and strong hands to reach and tighten the clamp Good luck!!!
gee thanks!

Fuel Cell removal
The manual is not very helpful on the removal process. These were the hardest bladders I have dealt with. There is a ring clip not shown in the manual that holds the upper fuel sending unit mount & another that holds the access cover to the lower tank. Once these are removed and their plates removed & the filler neck is disconnected, you need someone with long arms that are small enough to reach into the tanks . We found it easiest to remove the nuts & seals from the hanger inside the tanks & and remove the upper portion after it was separated from the tanks. (3 in each tank) In the upper tank, disconnect the vent tube which has A hose clamp at the inside back of the tank(acccessed inside of the bladder). Next, remove the bolts that connect the upper tank to the lower tank. There is a black ring in the upper tank. These bolts held down the black ring, which will now need to be carefully pried off. Then remove the 2 screws that hold the lower tank to this lip. We then disconnected the drain hose clamp & fuel feed line from inside the cabin and the lower vent hose clamp through the lightning hole under the baggage compartment. Then we folded & removed the tanks through the access holes (very tight fit ring. Must pass directly through the center of the hole being careful not to tear the side of the tank). I would like to thank Harold & Chris for answering my questions . Hope this helps someone
