Re: N501BH

Now that Dad is gone, I'll tell what I know. When we were talking about the pictures of it in 2014, I asked him what had happened to the Hynes prototype. At that time he said B-2A so that's what she wrote on the back of that one. She didn't know when it was taken or who gave it to him but it wasn't painted, yet...

The Hynes years, then he quit Hynes and started working on Brantlys an...

Old newspaper article

I tried to attach it but couldn't. If you want to add it to your articles section, I've got it in my Dropbox, for now. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hah6p38zwnrr6kc/The_Lawton_Constitution_And_Morning_Press_Sun__Aug_4__1957_.pdf?dl=0 The article, from August 1957, says they were building parts but hadn'...

Re: Harold Jenkins Passed Away

We moved to Mineral Wells after Christmas 1956. Daddy went to work for Southern Airways at Camp Wolters. His friend, Rex Fennel, had urged him to come. He was trained to be a mechanic on the Hiller, the pilots also taught him to fly them. That is where he met Harold Jenkins, who was already working ...
