New AD

The TR Gear Box and Shaft AD is now out. Looks like we have 10 hours of flying before we have to comply. I would hope everyone will share there results after completing this AD.

AD #2006-08-07 It is now posted on FAA web site. I don't believe brantly has posted to there web site yet.

New AD

I talked to Marc Belhumeur @ FAA recently and he told me the Proposed AD is now at legal and should be out very soon. He would not tell me how much time we have to comply or if anyone has complyed with the SB if we still have to comply again. Anyway sounds like the AD is gong to be here very soon. Jim

I as well just completed a oil change and screen. I did the same on the control rod. I also bought some wobble extensions and they helped a lot. I messed around with it for a week, but believe i can do it in a day the next time. I had alot of problems diconnecting the control rod at the bottom. I do...

Oil change

I am changing my oil and having trouble getting the screen out. Can anyone tell me how to get the left two bolts out. Not sure if I need special tools or remove the fuel line.

AT LAST 9023Z Fly's

After a long year of TR Shaft Failure and getting it repaired and getting insurance finally 9023Z flies. My flight instructor and I flew it 2 Hours last Friday and 2.5 Hours today. I got to solo today and should fly it Friday again, and if the weather is good I will bring it to its home base. (66G)....
