Re: Brantly Issues New Service Bulletin

Hey Bryan!

Just a mid grade W3 sitting in Afghanistan waiting for my turn to be over. I just read the SB... give me a while to let this stew a bit. I will say this, my first thought is that it is written.... well... .not in the most intuitive of terms. It doesn't really read that well.

Re: Brantly Issues New Service Bulletin

WOW!!! I knew you guys were enthusiasts, but I believe I'd go as far as saying you fella's are die hards! I have yet to read the newest SB for the blades but it appears to really have stirred the pot. I would gather that the poor fella in NZ had a novice maintaining his bird. These cracks are well k...

Re: Cabin For Simulator

Before leaving Brantly in 2001, we had built up a cockpit to show off the "upgraded" instrument panel. Couldn't hurt to give them a call and see if it's still around collecting dust somewhere.

Re: oil change

I don't know what's worse, removing/installing the screen or removing/installing the baggage compartment?

I do like that installation of the filter. Simple and clean.

That aircraft last belonged to Lyle Abernathy in Vernon, TX. Then the insurance company.

Re: Tail rotor effectiveness

It's been a while since I've been in a Brantly but I've got a little over 300 hours in these things and have never had one issue with tail rotor effectiveness. Ron hit the nail on the head when he mentioned what I consider to be "situational awareness." The only other consideration I can t...

Longeze, No problems man. I sent Todd an email and I hope it helps him in finding the anwers he's looking for. What I meant about being pricey, is the asking price. With that registration number, that bird has to have a serial number in the 70's and was originally a B2 built in 1960. The add doesn't...

I saw this one on Ebay. I don't know about your budet, but it's a bit pricey for most Brantly operators.
