Re: M/R Blade AD

Thanks. I will seek a second quote from a qualified service provider when I locate another in the area. If anyone has a recommendation near Milwaukee or Madison, Wisconsin please share.

Re: M/R Blade AD

Has anyone gotten the eddy current done or quoted? The quote I got today was $1000 so not at all close to the economic analysis figures. I Will get a second quote but wondering if anyone has better info or experience.

Re: FLYING A BRANTLY

I expect I will find time to fly much more this year. I was traveling too much for work and I have a 2.5 year old son so my flight time was curtailed last year a lot. But I surely have not lost interest. :D

Re: M/R Blade AD

I would like to respond to this request for input from the FAA but am nowhere near as savvy as most on this forum when it come to the maintenance of these aircraft. I enjoy flying and I chose to buy a Brantly. I pay for service from one of several qualified A&P certified mechanics. I do not feel...

Re: Tail rotor upper shaft oil leak

Hi I wanted to update on the oil leak I posted about a couple months ago. Harold passed through a few weeks ago and took a look at it and changed the seal up at the top of the tail rotor shaft. The old seal was out of round noticeably. I have flown it now for a couple of hours and no more leak. The ...

Re: Tail rotor upper shaft oil leak

Thanks for the reply. I am glad to hear that it could be just a minor problem and easy to solve. I am hoping to be flying again soon.

Best regards,

Steve

Tail rotor upper shaft oil leak

i flew my ship for the first time after a major overhaul was done on it other than 5 minutes when it was delivered post repair (it had a roll over after a full down auto that did not go well. I was not flying it I was watching my mechanic do a test flight after annual and he had a mishap, anyway tha...

Re: Brantly Issues New Service Bulletin

I hope that Mr. Hardman was not made to capitulate if he did not absolutely have to. If that is the case he has done us all a great disservice and destroyed a great amount of our equity in our machines in a short time in his new role. My perspective is that these ships have been flying for a long ti...

Re: PLENTY OF POWER

I fly year round in Wisconsin and I at 225(sadly I agree) with my wife at 115 and full fuel can fly in the hottest days of summer(100 degrees F) but I have to be cautious with power management. Maybe my ship is one of the weaker ones or I am not as experienced a pilot as others but in any case I do ...

Re: New Brantly President

If in April 2008 when I completed the purchase of my ship from Brantly directly(it was one of the used ones they had for sale at the time) and took receipt of it at the factory they had told me they would be shutting down and not supporting me with parts or service I would likely have looked more se...

Re: New Brantly President

I hope that one of the first things the new President does is improve responsiveness to inquiries for parts and information from current owners. I sent a question to the Chinese office directly since the USA office was closed and it took 6 weeks to get a definitive answer. In the interim I had a Chi...
