SAFARI CRASH IN CHATTANOOGA

A good friend of mine (about 2 air miles from my house) had one of the best Safari's ever built, won all kinds of awards. He was about 200 feet after takeoff when he lost power and auto'd into a small creek. He was not injured, but his 91 year old passenger had some burns on his arm. Craft was total...

Re: Tim Archer Answers Questions

Bryan;

Would that be to reskin the old blades or make new ones? Could stand to improve on the problem area of the outer blades. Bet we could find an old blade to play with.

FLORIDA CRASH

Today we learned of a Bell 206 crash in Florida. As you may know my wife Patsy received a liver transplant at the Mayo clinic, so you can imagine that this tragic crash is extremely sad to us. Still flying, but with my wife's condition, not as much. Spent Christmas in the Hospital, but things are looking better.

Love this site, the only Brantly news source!!

Keep up the good work.

Re: New Brantly President

I believe that they are getting serious about marketing, however, I do not know their schedule. Last year I had several calls about using my N2101U pics for their advertising. I was cool with that at no cost to Brantly. I put them in touch with my photographer and I think that he was very generous w...

She's worth almost nothing. Everything looked real bad. I was told the engine locked up on attempted startup.

Re: BLADE CRACK THEORY

OK let's see how many blade orders are needed. Although not yet tested, I think mine are OK for now, but to be safe I would order one.

By the way Bryan, what is different about the 404's. Are they under the same SB?

Re: BLADE CRACK THEORY

Bryan; Patsy is doing just great, thanks for asking. Back almost 100%. For those who do not know, my wife had a liver transplant Nov. 1st, 2009, "on her birthday". Back to the blade issue, I knew you would know how to do it. Sounds like the investment in time may not be cost effective unle...

Re: BLADE CRACK THEORY

Bryan; Do you know how difficult it would be to get FAA approval to reskin the blades? Not for me (of course), but for a certified shop. Lots of shops are out there for all types of aircraft parts on the secondary market. I'll bet Lance at Cartersville could get certified, that guy can do anything, ...
