Re: Oshkosh
I think I saw that 310K. It was parked three rows south of where we were camped under the wing of the trusty Cessna 170. I sat out on the 47 ride, but both my daughters went. They came back grinning ear to ear. We watched the airshow from the mezzanine of the HAI (Helicopter Association Internationa...

Re: Hawker Beechcraft
The question that I feel begs asking is "Where is the money coming from?". The $1.8 billion being offered is a quantum leap from the $7 million paid for Superior Air Parts. Who is Cheng Shenzong working for? Cheng simply does not have that kind of capital himself. What are the true intenti...

Kyle Hardman has left Brantly as president
I just wanted to let the Brantly community know that as of September 22nd, I am no longer with Brantly International. The board of directors in China decided that "Branty did not need a president". I know of no plans to replace me in the position of president. As I was hired last December,...

Re: NEW FUEL PUMPS
The mechanical fuel pump is a Lear Romec RG7790-G3. The manufacturing rights for Lear Romec fuel pumps now belongs to Crane Aerospace in Elyria, Ohio. They also do rebuilds, so there is a chance they have a rebuilt spare on hand. There number is 440-323-3211. There is more than one electric fuel pum...

Re: Cracked Blade Photos
Thanks for the constructive posts Brad. The "factory" is quite willing to provide technical information to a qualified shop to allow them to create their own approved reskinning/repair process. This could include drawings, material specifications, material manufacturers, and process specif...

Re: New Brantly President
Scrap, As Patton once said, "The first casualty of any battle is the plan." Any timeline I might submit would probably change by the time I got it posted. I am currently spending a little better than half time in China. The current push is to get the two facilities there up and running as ...

Brantly Issues New Service Bulletin
Brantly has issued Service Bulletin 111. This bulletin supersedes Service Letter 110 and provides additional direction and procedures on inspecting the outboard main rotor blades for cracks and delaminations. The Service Bulletin has an accompanying inspection procedure (ET002). Both documents can b...
