Re: Corporate Officers at Brantly

Thanks, Steve. I was hoping to find out before I called so I could ask for the president by name. I also thought someone might have some current background information. Anyone have anything?

Thank you.

Corporate Officers at Brantly

Is Henry Yao still with Brantly? If not, who is the current President/CEO?

Thanks for any information you might have.

Re: New (?) Brantly pilot

Ron,

I'll let you know about the next opening. We spend most of our time keeping helo pilots from climbing over the fence. Uh oh, here comes another one now!

Paul,

Thanks, I'll send you an email. Yes, this is a pretty good gig. Google AUTEC for a look at our ships.

Re: New (?) Brantly pilot

Paul, Thanks for the posting and the photos. Nice ship! I'm a helo ATP/CFI/CFII, and I'd like to get my A&P. What is your recommendation for the best route to follow for someone with a full-time job? I fly helos for a US government contractor in The Bahamas. Thanks for any advice you might have....

What are Brantly B-2B prices doing in this economy?

Does anyone have any first (or second or third) hand information on what Brantly prices are doing? There aren't that many listed for sale on the internet, and some of them have been posted for a very long time, so the numbers aren't reliable. It seems like the economy would bring prices down, but I ...

Mark,

Post the numbers and photos and we'll get the word out! I've heard that's a nice ship.

Re: Blade Box

"Cy" in Vernon is probably Cy Russum. He used to work for Brantly. He rebuilt a beautiful B-2, so I assume he knows Brantlys. Former Army. Good luck!

Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!

And as we remember all of those who made this great country what it is today, let's not forget the important role played by helicopters.

God Bless America!

Re: Finally got my helicopter back!

Great debrief, Flylow, and I enjoyed the slideshow.

Nice catch on the part of your mechanic. It seems like something that could be easy to miss.

We all appreciate your sharing the trip with us.

Thank you!

I was at Sun 'n Fun and couldn't find them. That is too bad. Any word on what happened? Do they have plans to restructure? What's going to happen to the aircraft?

Re: Tail rotor mod

I'm not familiar with any factory kit, but I once flew a B-2B in Missouri that had 305 tail rotor blades. The owner did the installation via a Form 337.

Is Cy at the factory? I heard he had left. If he's back, that's good news.

The new B-2Bs have the same Lycoming IVO-360 the the -2Bs have always had. The engine is not obsolete, it's just unique to the B-2B, therefore Lycoming only produces them in batches for the factory. Between those runs, they don't make them (although I'm certain they'd run a batch for anyone for the ...
